1. Our Zero-Server Architecture Commitment

JSON Prompt Gen operates on a "Zero-Server" architecture. This is the cornerstone of our privacy philosophy. Unlike traditional web services that process your data on remote servers, our application runs entirely locally within your web browser.

What this means for you: Your API keys, prompt inputs, and generated data strictly strictly stay on your device. We do not have servers that collect, store, or process your generative AI inputs.

2. API Key Security (Bank-Grade Encryption)

To use AI features, you may optionally provide API keys for third-party services (like Google Gemini, OpenAI, etc.).

  • Storage: Keys are stored only in your browser's local storage (`localStorage`).
  • Encryption: Before saving, keys are encrypted using AES-256, a military-grade encryption standard.
  • Transmission: Keys are sent directly from your browser to the respective AI provider's API. They never pass through our servers (because we don't have any).

3. Data We Do Not Collect

Because we have no backend infrastructure, we intrinsically cannot collect:

  • Your prompts or creative ideas.
  • Your generated JSON outputs.
  • Your API usage history or logs.
  • Your personal identification information (PII).

4. Third-Party Data Handlers

To provide advanced AI functionalities, this application interfaces with third-party APIs. When you use these specific features, necessary data (such as your text prompts and API keys) is transmitted directly from your browser to the provider.

Note on Liability: We are not responsible for how these third-party platforms process data once you leave our application environment.

5. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), usage of this tool is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by design, due to our data minimization strategy.

Strictly Necessary Processing: No personal data is processed by JSON Prompt Gen servers. All processing of API keys and prompts occurs locally on your device ("Client-Side Processing").

Your Rights

  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can instantly exercise this by clearing your browser's "Local Storage" and "Cache" for this site. We hold no copies to delete.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can export your generated JSON templates using the built-in "Export" feature at any time.
  • International Transfers: If you use US-based AI providers (like OpenAI or Google), you consent to your data being transmitted to the US subject to those providers' Data Processing Addendums (DPAs).

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use local storage technology purely for functional purposes:

  • Preferences: To remember your selected model, theme preference, and UI settings.
  • Templates: To save your custom prompt templates locally on your device.
  • Analytics (Optional): We use a privacy-preserving analytics tool (Google Analytics 4) to track aggregate usage metrics (e.g., "how many users visited the site"). This does not track individual user behavior or content.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Since we do not collect email addresses, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
